Continuous performance reviews
Feedback after every project, not once a year. We set up project-based peer feedback for your engineering team, so reviews take days instead of weeks and hold no surprises.
Who it is for
- Engineering managers, new ones especially, who want each performance review to rest on evidence from the engineer's peers, not on memory.
- You, the engineering leader they report to, if your review cycle takes weeks of their time and still produces feedback nobody uses.
How it works
- 01
We design it with you
We start from your review cycle and career framework, and agree with you what counts as a project and who gives feedback on it.
- 02
Feedback when a project ships
When a project is done, the engineers who worked on it get a short prompt on our platform. It guides each of them through a few minutes of specific feedback: the situation, what the person did, and the impact.
- 03
Your managers see the patterns
Across projects, the feedback shows each engineer's strengths, areas for growth, and where how they see themselves differs from how their peers see them. In the first cycle, we work through it with your managers.
- 04
Your managers hold the conversations
They go into each review with evidence, not impressions, and we coach them through the hard ones. The results go into the review tool you already use.
What you get
No surprises at review time
Gaps between self-image and peer feedback show up months earlier, while there's still time to act on them.
More signal, less effort
Several rounds of feedback per engineer a year, each from the peers who actually worked with them.
A process you own
We run the first cycle with you and hand it over. If you'd rather not run it yourselves, we can keep running it all year on a retainer.
Where this comes from
We first ran this by hand as CTO of a 12-engineer team at a VC-backed fintech startup, with an AI chat guiding the peer feedback. Our platform grew out of it.
- 2 daysof a lead's time for one review cycle, down from two weeks.
- 3–4rounds of project feedback per engineer, each from two or three peers, instead of one annual review.
- 15–30 minper feedback conversation, down from days.
